After a late night celebrating a sixth Super Bowl victory, Robert Kraft reported that he was “feeling dandy.”

The Patriots owner appeared on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “Toucher and Rich” program, where he described partying with thousands of “effing awesome” fans at the team hotel. Kraft booked a series of musical acts — including rappers Meek Mill, Snoop Dogg, and Gucci Mane — to perform for the victorious players, their families, and the rest of the guests.

Kraft, Meek Mill, and Gucci Mane took in a Celtics’ playoff game together last season. On Monday, host Rich Shertenlieb asked the 77-year-old how he forges relationships with the hip hop community.

“Honest to goodness, I don’t force it,” Kraft said. “We live in a world where all of us have to find ways to build bridges and connect with everybody. There’s good in every situation, and you try to understand it and relate to it. That’s how you understand how the world works, when you try to keep people together to win championships — which is not easy, guys.”

The day before Super Bowl 53, Kraft connected onstage with rapper Cardi B for a bouncing dance to her single “Money.” Wearing his Nike Air Force 1s, Kraft bopped to the beat before reuniting with Meek Mill offstage.

“Meek Mill is the one who really kept saying, ‘You gotta go out there. You gotta go out there. They don’t think you can dance,’” he said. “Once someone puts you on the defensive, they don’t expect me to be able to — not that I had much rhythm — follow the beat. I don’t think most of my colleagues expect to see me Super Bowl weekend hanging with Cardi B and trying to show her a few moves.”

The hosts wanted to know more about his relationship with the rappers, wondering what a conversation between Kraft and Gucci Mane sounds like.

“Well, we were talking about foreign relations,” Kraft responded. “They’re very interested in Asia and the Mideast. So we’re just talking about worldly affairs.”

So, will Kraft’s assimilation into hip-hop culture lead to a guest appearance on a track?

“Well, we’re going to take it step-by-step and not get ahead of ourselves,” he said. “No, the fun part of life is trying to connect with all people and understand what the messaging and appeal is. For me, that’s the fun of life.”
